Curated Conferences 2025
MCH is excited to announce an open call for applications to participate in the Curated Conference program for 2025. The program is a part of Meeting Point on Art & Social Action in Asia which will take place in October 2025, with an in-person gathering in Vientiane Laos from October 16th-18th.
The aim of this program is to create space for diverse cultural practitioners to discuss and explore topics that concern them, and to be able to share the outcomes of their discussions with a wider public audience. There are two topics for this year’s conference program, both inspired by our theme Building Bridges:
● Economic Empowerment through Creative Work, curated by Sasiwimon Wongjarin (Aom), Studio 88 (Thailand)
● The Citizens of In-Betweens, curated by Andrei Venal, DAKILA (Philippines)
The selected Curated Conference Fellows will each be assigned to one group (according to the preference they express at the application stage). From February until July 2025, the Fellows will meet online approximately once per month, for a series of conversations facilitated by their Curator, starting from the prompt statement shared in the program overview, and evolving with the inputs of the group. During August and September 2024, the Fellows and their Curator will focus on preparing the content and format for the public sharing sessions they will host during the Meeting Point on Art & Social Action in October 2025.

Key Information:
Designed for: Diverse practitioners working closely with Art and Culture Field (including artists) with interest and experience to contribute to a durational conference on one of the two topics proposed by the curators
From: Anywhere in Asia (citizens from Cambodia and Laos are strongly encouraged to apply)
Total participants: Two groups of 4-6 people

Support offered: All expenses for participating in Meeting Point + $300 USD stipend per participant
Important dates:
Meeting Point:
October 10th-11th 2025: 90-min session within Online Meeting Point (date of each group’s session will be confirmed later)
October 14th-19th, 2025: in-person participation and sharing at Meeting Point in Vientiane
(The public program of Meeting Point is from 16th-18th October)
