ABOUT
In general, contemporary artists collect inspiration and materials for creation in the community. These Artists use fieldwork as a method to capture cultural phenomena, and observe issues such as ideology, race, social class or gender. However, cultural study requires long-term accumulation and observation. Are artists using the content and symbols of various cultures correctly? In this talk, we invite CHAN Ya-Ping (artist), CHEN Wei-Chien (art critic) and CHEN Kuan Chang (artist) with their background in cultural studies. They will talk about how to apply cultural studies in artistic creation.
