I am a development sector professional working in rural India for more than two decades with NGOs, UNESCO, and various national and international think-tank and policy-making networks. I have a PhD from the School of Media and Cultural Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, a Masters degree in Sustainable Development from Staffordshire University, UK under a Commonwealth Scholarship, and a Masters degree in Sociology from the University of Calcutta. I am also a freelance writer and a painter.
