Nguyen Khanh Nam is a mixologist/sound designer from Hanoi, currently working at Sigon Production, Saigon. He fell in love with sound under the guidance of Dr. Andrew Knight-Hill at the University of Greenwich in the UK. Returning to Vietnam in 2018, Nam worked at the post-production sound studio Wallsound Post Production, where he experienced the commercial and artistic filmmaking environment in his home country. He is interested in silences and how sound can connect/disintegrate the time axis in movies, where the boundaries between the spaces in which sound is emitted are blurred.
Nam has collaborated with directors: Ostin Fam (Binh, 2019), Nguyen Le Hoang Phuc (Slowly and Painfully, 2019), Luu Nguyet Dan Thanh (The Silent Voice, 2019), Pham Ngoc Lan (Trailer Kurzfilm). Hamburg Festival 2022), Marcus Manh Cuong Vu (Memento Mori: Earth, 2022), Tuan Andrew Nguyen (Dream To The End (2021), Cannon Sounds Familiar Like A Sad Walk (2021), etc. He participated in the post-production sound which was screened at Busan International Film Festival (Korea), Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg (Germany), MadVision Film Festival (Vietnam), Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary (Spain), Galerie Quynh (Vietnamese). Nam), the program “Like the Moon in the Night” (Vietnam), etc.
