Suki Lane / Independent Artist/ Children's art educator
In 2012, I graduated from Taipei University of the Arts. I'm an artist and children's painting teacher now. My art works include performance art, installations, and video, and I focus on seeing and social identification. In 2013, through my performance art work“Super-Perfect Working Robot- Rich Ann”, I played as a robot to find the job in the street and began to concern about the working class. Rich Ann program series has been developed and shown in various cities such as Cambodia Singapore, Tokyo, Paris and New York. Through the program series, she invites audiences to contemplate with different perspectives, to think about the relationships between people and the robots of existential labor. In 2015, I met the founders of SUKI LANE, Fei-Lin and Wen-Wei, because we all care about the stories of people and local culture, so we started a series of cooperation. In 2016, in front of Taipei Xia- Hai City God Temple Super Perfect Working Robot listened the stories of people and wrote calligraphy to give them blessings. At the end of 2016, we introduced to the bartending culture of the local construction workers. In 2017, in the SUKILANE space, through the experiment theater of the Super Perfect Working Robots, tell the story of two different local workers and a robot in Dadaocheng. Over the past few years, because of the revolutionary feelings of many years of cooperation, I have become one of the indispensable partners of SUKILANE in life and work.
